A Real ShameA friend of mine sent me these pictures.
Two tremendous bucks had been found locked together just West of the
bowling alley in Giddings Texas on Hwy 290. They were in a small mesquite pasture. The finder called 911 and was routed to the local Humane Society. Someone came out with a tranquilizer gun, found one deer already dead, stunned the other, and cut a horn from the dead animal. When the live one got up, he went to a local pond and drank before leaving. No telling how long they had been locked.

you wrote a great article here and hopefully other people finding deer in distress will now know what to do to help the animal to survive.keep up the great work and keep the stories coming.
A buddy of mine sent me the pictures. I just passed it along. The Deer Pictures two are mine and then the rest are ones that were sent to me from a buddy in LA. There pictures of the shot by the three men are people that I have had the pleasure of knowing or have met.
