Goon I got one about the same size at 12:20 on Friday last week & wish Valkyrie was there to hunt all the grouse & pheasants (we were about 1/2 way between Mohall & Antler)
No kidding, over by devils lake on saturday morning we were sitting on this hill and a covey of sharpies exploded out of this pocket slough and flew off. While we were sitting there we could hear the sharp tails clucking in the grass. There are more and more of them all of the time.
I am really excited about this the other day I was over by Dakota hunting club and saw another covey of sharpies come out of a sun flower field and land in some posted land. They are really making a come back and this is a really good thing. I have enjoyed hunting them this season.
